My children love the be read to, and I as much as I would love to sit and just read books to them all day I am unable to do so. As an enhancement for our center time, I have purchased QR codes already and they are just waiting for the right type of technology to be used with them. The Samsung Gaxlay Elite tablets will be used individually and in small group settings by the students. They will be able to independently scan QR codes for specific books and have them read aloud to them. In addition, students will also work in small groups with the teachers to reinforce letter/sound recognition and retention of the alphabet, interact with our LetterLand curriculum and, in the near future, mathematics and a program specifically tailored to how and what they need to learn.
