Fourth grade is a unique year for students. There are a multitude of standards that we need to cover in addition to preparing them for standardized testing. I teach my students all subjects: mathematics, English language arts, science, and social studies. The students are not quite the small ones they were in Kindergarten, nor are they the seniors of elementary school. With the COVID-19 pandemic and virtual learning, many students are trying to find a new normal. This adjustment brings another unique element to this grade level.
