My class is composed of a great group of highly motivated and eager third graders. They attend a Title 1 school which means our school has a large percentage of economically disadvantaged students of which the vast majority receive free lunch. Due to the economy, many parents work longer hours or more than one job, so many of our students stay late after school in programs like LA's Best or Youth Services.
Most of my students are not fortunate enough to have access to a computer or Internet at home. Unfortunately, due to budget cuts our school can't afford to have a computer lab. Therefore, my students have little or no exposure to a computer.
