My fourth and fifth grade band students are learning to play woodwind, brass, and percussion instruments. These enthusiastic students are playing an instrument which requires them to use the proper position, air support, articulation, and read note and rhythm symbols. I am always looking for new ways to aid students in reading music - a second language. It makes sense to include technology to help the 21st century student learn to read and play music. There are many apps designed to make note reading and rhythm fun. This technology will also help me with data collection and assessment using the iDoceo app.
