My goal is to provide books for our each of our Autism program students. Raising student confidence to be enthusiastic readers. Access to fun books will encourage class participation, engagement with others, and expand their language skills.
Becoming better readers today, will encourage them to be leaders of tomorrow. School activities can be built around these books, like acting the stories out. Also learning new words, and phrases will help them navigate the stories using communication skills. Letting each of our students keep these books to take home will bridge the lessons learned at school, and connecting family time with a fun activity to do at home.
