I am a sixth-grade teacher at one of the highest populated elementary schools in California. My goal is to not only educate my students according to the Common Core Standards, but to inspire my student to want to learn. Teaching in the age of social media, video games, cell phones, and everything else that takes up our students' interests, it isn't always easy to capture our students' attention. However, every year it is my goal to adapt to our changing times in order to provide a learning environment that my students enjoy being a part of every day.
As a teacher, my goal is to inspire students to always push themselves farther than what they thought they were capable of, to always take second chances when they are presented with them, and to never take the easy way out. I want my students to have the best learning experience possible in the short amount of time that I have them.
