I teach second grade at a high-poverty, Title I school where more than half of my students are English Language Learners. Many read below grade level and need high quality interesting texts to gain their interest and encourage their reading. Unfortunately, my students have very limited access to grade level reading materials. For many, the only reading materials available to them are those that are provided at school. Most of my students do not have books of their own at home, nor do they have access to the Internet.
