This beautiful rug will allow my students to each have a special spot that is just their own. This will help students become more aware of their personal space and respect others.
The carpet will be used for community building circles which help my students learn to be good listeners and facilitate discussion. It is very important to me that my students learn to discuss and question their own and others thinking. Creating an inviting spot where each child feels comfortable to share how they solved a math problem or what they thought of a story is a step in the right direction!
