Students will learn about plants while they build and develop a community garden to share with our neighbors! These tools will help them til the soil, grow the plants, and eventually work along side our community members. We will be able to plant seeds and watch them turn into food and explore what nature can create. Also, it will help them learn to grow food so that in the future, they will grow beans and cucumbers in their yard to make sure there is always healthy food available! Students will be hands on, digging in the dirt like urban farmers and learning while they learn what goes into gardening! These tools will allow them to get their hands dirty- planting the seeds, digging the soil, and eventually sharing these tools with the community members who want to garden a section. We need a safe place to store our tools, enough tools for a class to work, and your help to make this all happen!
