The materials I am requesting will be very beneficial to my special education students' learning. Bean bags will provide a comfortable reading area where my students will be able to explore and read the books from the library. Although I have non-verbal students I want to provide them with the reading experience even if it’s just scanning through the book pages. I believe that every student, even with special needs, deserves equal learning opportunities.
Working in a low income community and having budget cuts can make it challenging to engage student learning through differentiated instruction. It makes a difference when my students with disabilities are able to learn through hands-on instruction with materials made with a color printer and ink or and dry erase markers. Being able to create, build, and explore enhances their learning experience. And their smiles makes it all worth it. Your generous donations will make a tremendous difference in my class and will help them excel their learning.
