Since I have students with different sensory needs (students with autism, visual impairments, anxiety, etc.), I chose items such as kinetic sand, water beads and play doh in order to create therapy materials and sensory bins that can really engage all of my students’ senses.
My students often have difficulty with language and they need visual, auditory AND tactile cues to learn concepts. These materials will allow me to create therapy sessions that are engaging and memorable and we all know that’s when the real learning happens!
My students love to use different materials like paint daubers, magnetic chips and “magic wands” to make speech sessions fun!
