My first grade class is composed of 24 eager and bright young minds. Each comes from different ethnic and social backgrounds. My students live in a low socioeconomic area and are second language learners. Our school is a Title I/Bilingual program school where a large number of students qualify for free-reduced meals and speak another language other than English.
