This started out as a project for my Pre-IB students. However, I later realized that Ready Player One is a book that all of my students would be interested in. Even though there are a lot of 80s references, I feel as though my students would really be able to get into this book. This book has all of the elements to peak the interest of a high school student. There is the thrill of a treasure hunt, gaming, virtual reality, and an evil corporation. I recently asked for a list of the books we had available for students to read and in my honest opinion those books would put my students to sleep. Ready Player One is packed with action and suspense which will command their attention.
