Hi! I have been a teacher for over 20 years, but am a new Media Specialist at a public elementary school in Coral Springs, Florida. My media center is an environment where my students feel welcome and engaged. The role of Media Specialist is evolving as libraries are becoming community hubs where students choose books, research, learn about technology, and collaborate with each other through projects and maker spaces. As my role (and the role of the library) continues to evolve, I want to make sure that my students have access to activities that both challenge and inspire them.
