Many of my students do not have home library books. In my classroom, I try to read at least 1 or 2 books a day to give my students opportunities to hear and interact with rich literature. With these iPad my students will be able to hear and interact with more text daily which in return will help create a love for literature and reading. In addition, the more students read and hear literature, the better writers they will be. Students will be able to write and illustrate their own stories based on books they have heard and read. Therefore, it is important that they have lots of interaction with text throughout the day.
