Our school is a neighborhood school where many of our students walk to school and share friendships all year long. In that way our school is like a home away from home. We have about 400 students in our school with over 80 percent of our students receiving free or reduced lunch costs. Despite issues with lack of resources, our students are exceptional. They are eager to learn and share. The students and families in our school are generous to a fault and do all they can to help in our classrooms. It is hard to maintain materials not even exceed our needs because of budget cuts. Any resources that are given to our class will benefit not only my students but also their families.
