I teach in a low socio-economic school district. I have been here for 26 years and enjoy working with "under privileged kids". They really appreciate all that you provide for them. I, on average, buy 10+ kids their school supplies every year because they cannot afford it. These are the types of kids that have so much to offer but are held back because of their "home-life" that is so depraved of financial and emotional stability. They come to school as their safe haven. Many only eat when they are here as our school is now 100% free breakfast and lunch. I try to help as many as I can. They are good kids. They just really need a chance and for someone to show that they care.
