We have been learning about and practicing our 3 expectations at school: be safe, be kind, and be productive. We have been practicing and reviewing what these 3 expectations look and sound like. At 5 years old we are still learning about our personal space. Our current carpet does not have clear spaces to sit so students end up bunched together, fingers get stepped on, and students argue about where to sit. If each child had a specific colored square to sit in, we could start with our learning right away. This carpet will provide plenty of room between students so they can stand up, sit down, and excuse themselves to use the restroom without disrupting others around them.
