My classroom is a part of a small community, but the stories my students carry are big. Nearly 70% of my students come from homes that qualify for free or reduced lunch, and many are navigating difficult home lives and trauma that no child should have to face. For many of them, school is the safest and most consistent place they know.
I work hard to make my classroom feel like family. I want my students to know they are more than a test score, more than a number, and more than the circumstances they were born into. In our room, they are seen, encouraged, and reminded that they are capable of incredible things.
Through engaging science lessons, hands-on activities, and a classroom built on relationships, my goal is not only to teach science but to give my students a place where they feel safe enough to learn, grow, and believe in themselves. Your support helps make that possible.
