I have seen glimpses of my students loving to learn however, the class varies in capability, experience, and motivation! In the personal lives of my students, education is not a first priority. Our student population is 57% ESL, 40% White, and 3% Other. 100% of my students qualify for free breakfast and 80% of my students are on free and reduced lunch. Over 90% of my students have never left the area we live in and have never been to a beach, the mall, or out of the rural country. That is why I try to give them opportunities that help provide experiences or opportunity for exploration. My students are sweet, eager for love, and to learn! They surprise me daily and work hard to please me. I want them to know they are worth the hard work they put into their education, and that they deserve the chance to succeed. Their needs may be great but their potential is even greater!
