My students are students that come from a low income Hispanic community in Texas. The school is 98% Hispanic and the students receive free or reduced lunch. They come to Kindergarten eager to learn and ready to begin reading skills to leave Reading at a first grade level. They become enthusiastic when it comes to reading and the things that they can do especially in reading center time.
