My second grade students will use these math materials as an effective interactive way to reinforce what they have learned both in groups and independently after learning a new math concept or skill. My students learn best when they are engaged in hands on activities. They love playing games and engaging in conversations about what they are learning. These materials will provide those learning activities for them.
These materials will create math centers for my students to work collaboratively on the math standards they are learning. After introducing a new math concept, my students will be able to choose a group activity or an independent activity to provide them with additional learning opportunities to better understand the concepts.
