My students have dyslexia! What's your superpower?
Each of my students is creative, talented in many areas, and each is enthusiastic to learn. Many of these precious gems think of text in a three-dimensional way and look at learning uniquely. Many of my students are also dual-language,and all students attend Title-One schools ranging from grades Pre-K3 to 5th.
As my students build their confidence and learn their skills and strategies, they thrive on organization and consistency. This organization will allow students to have a class atmosphere that they can count on and spend more time focusing on instruction.
Our district is starting a district-wide initiative to offer dyslexic intervention services to students in a centralized way. As this is new, we are building our campus locations to be set up for student success. Each of these students have already shown resiliency as they show up ready to learn!
