One of the wonderful things about my students is that they yearn to make functional art that they can give to their loved ones. I see their eyes light up when they know that they can take home their art and give it to someone they care about.
By making glass fused art and jewelry (while learning color theory in the process), my students will be able to make beautiful, wearable art pieces that they can give away or keep and enjoy. Students will use the glass pieces and supplies requested to create fused glass jewelry and art. The shelf liners will be used in the ceramic kiln so that they can fuse the glass in the clay kiln without it sticking to the shelves.
I try to give my students a wide variety of experiences in the art room so that they can experience success in a variety of materials and mediums. Thank you for considering donating to this project - my students are so excited to learn about mixing color in a new and exciting way!
