For some, entering middle school can be a difficult transition from elementary school, where there are more art and hands-on projects and learning is thought to be more "fun." But the magic of learning does not have to stop when kids leave the lower grades. Middle school life should not be the time when kinesthetic learning is cut from the curriculum. With your help, I can change that for the kids in my classroom.
I've got a group of high-energy, willing learners. Allowing these kids to study, to create, and to touch history can make the difference between just knowing information to the real connections and learning of human history.
I want my students to leave our 6th grade classroom feeling like they not only learned, but they've touched a piece of history.
