I am the teacher of an amazing Kinder dual language classroom, made up of both Spanish-speaking students and English-only students. The two groups interact academically and socially throughout the year while they help each other develop and nurture two languages. We serve a diverse community, ranging from working-class to poverty-stricken families. Throughout the years, I have worked together with parents and caregivers to make possible the services, support, and of utmost importance, a safe and equitable classroom environment where the children receive what they need and deserve to receive a quality and long-lasting education.
About my class
