Kids today have so many visual and technological stimulation, that they don't always get the chance to slow their brains down. Reading books is becoming a lost art that, if I have anything to say about it, will not be lost among my students! I am a firm believer, (in a world full of technology), that kids still needs to read books! Paper books. Kindles, tablets, and digital rentals are fine, but paper books offer a tactile experience that many children are not getting. I love teaching social and emotional learning through stories, and if a love of books comes out of it too, that is a wonderful bonus!

About my class
