My students are growing up in a world that is starkly different from the one in which many of us were raised. They learn differently. One thing that has not changed is engagement. Students need to be intrigued throughout the learning process; they need hands-on applications and creative ways to stretch their minds.
With an Apple TV, students can explore. They can be the masterminds of their own learning; manipulating content and achieving a new level of comprehension. I plan to use the smart TV and apple TV connection in small groups. Students from lower income homes often don't get to experience all the wonderful ways technology can inspire learning. In small groups, not only do I get to know my students better, but I can offer them more meaningful connections with their content. They can learn through inquiry, while enjoying themselves. That is the true art of learning!
