My students need the playing field leveled! They attend school in small rural district of only about 600 students. Most of my students live in poverty and about 60% of them receive free and reduced lunch. They are eager to learn and thrive in spite of some difficult situations. It is clear that my student's parents want the best for their child and want them to succeed in school. I am looking to ensure that success by providing engaging authentic learning experiences for my students. I want to give them a glimpse into the world that awaits them and let them know that their success is in their own hands. By providing them with adequate educational resources and engaging learning experiences, we can help level the playing field for them.
About my class
