The alphabet supplies and activities will be available to the students as they independently choose activities to do throughout center time. Their curiosity, interests, and learning styles will lead them on an intrinsic journey to learn and practice the alphabet. This will help to build a strong foundation of phonemic and phonological awareness to help them become strong readers.
These alphabet activities will encourage independent learning and support curriculum standards for kindergarten.
Students will be able to explore alphabet letters and sounds through kinesthetic activities such as dough alphabet stamps, building letters, magnets, and blocks.
