Our students are working on an Electricity Unit and I want to motivate my students to learn how to create working circuits. By completing activities based on our electricity unit, our students will be challenged to solve problems that help them to gain a deeper and more complete understanding of the logic and advanced thinking behind electricity with a focus on circuits. Students will go from little or no experience (circuit breakers) to confident circuit makers! We will follow up the circuit lesson by having students apply their newly learned skills in creating a Bristle Bot. Learning to solve problems with circuitry will strengthen critical thinking, creativity and collaboration. It makes students feel empowered and confident and excited about learning. Exposing my students to circuits and Bristle Bots is a great way to create a love for learning!
