Many of my students often get fidgety and restless during the time they spend in my special education classroom. I want every student in my classroom to learn in a space that is best for their individual learning style. Brain breaks are often not enough to give students the movement they need to stay focused in the classroom.
I would like the opportunity to offer sensory options to help my students become more comfortable while they are learning. Some of the options that this project will provide are floor seats, a wobble cushion and a bean bag seat. A body sock will also help my students with body awareness and calm down strategies. Our project, "Sensory Solutions for All," will enable my students to make choices to help them with their individual sensory needs while promoting success in the learning environment.
