My students are reading on different levels. We use book bins daily for independent and partner reading. This allows the children to choose books for reading according to their ability. When students are able to read the words, it promotes a sense of comfort and satisfaction instead of frustration. I have been purchasing books to add to our collection. However, our classroom library has limited resources.
Reading the same books over and over becomes boring. Having more choices will captivate student interest while providing selections that will challenge their abilities. Students become excited when new titles are introduced for their reading enjoyment. New books would also provide more opportunities for discussions and enrichment activities related to the stories.
