The GlareShade Fluorescent Light Filter Diffuser Covers are blue panels that will attach easily with magnets to the existing overhead fluorescent lights that are in my traditional elementary school classroom. These panels will help to eliminate the harsh light glare and flicker that commonly cause eyestrain and headaches. The flame retardant diffuser covers will also aid in improving student focus in my classroom and assist in classroom management by creating a calmer classroom environment.
The reduction in light flickering and glare along with the noticeably softer lighting is especially beneficial to my students with special needs. Previously I have tried turning off all of the lights, only using half of the lights in the room, using halogen pole lamps, and even LED desk lamps. None of these methods have provided my third graders with the very best in overhead lighting.
A typical result of a headache, understandably, is that learning comes to a screeching halt for a suffering student. I really hope to place the blue Light Diffuser Covers on all of the overhead lights in my 3rd grade classroom. I am hopeful that this will create a better learning environment for my students.
