Hello! I teach in the SOAR (Special Opportunities for Academic Restoration) program. Our program provides an accelerated learning experience for credit-deficient, at-risk students ages 16-20. We reside within the nation's most racially/ethnically diverse large metropolitan area. I currently teach: Biology, Chemistry and Environmental Systems. I love science! I love my students! Last year I wrote a proposal and received grant money for an after school science club. I had 20+ students staying after school to participate each week! I really feel like it sparked a love for science in many of them. My students deserve the absolute best. ♥ "We have a genetic kinship with all life on earth, an atomic kinship to all matter in the cosmos. So when I look at the universe, I feel large, because I remind myself that not only are we living in this universe, the universe is living within us." -Neil deGrasse Tyson
