My students love to play instruments and ask on a regular basis, "When can we get out the instruments?" The instruments in my classroom are old and it is hard to engage a whole class with the number I have. These two sets of upper and lower Boomwhackers will give all students the opportunity to play all together.
Boomwhackers appeal to the visual learner, the active learner and the auditory learner in every class and are easy to use, empowering students to make music with them right away.
Students will use Boomwhackers to make a visual connection between the size of an instrument and the tone that instrument plays. They will explore melody as they strike the tubes in different sequences and discover harmony as they whack one tube against another. Boomwhackers are colorful, sturdy, and inexpensive and will be used happily by all of my students from 1st to 5th grades.
