My students each have a unique challenge bestowed upon them which makes learning difficult. The range and difficulty is variable but they are all far below grade level in some area, but primarily in Language Arts. The greatest challenge of the majority of my students is confidence created by the apparent struggle derived from a disability which makes learning arduous. Each student is bright and capable of growth, but blinded of their ability by their own self-doubt. My elementary school solely serves the three homeless shelters within the area. Among many struggles, many students have limited resources and support at home.
