We are a small, rural school district. I have 26 amazing students in my 1st grade classroom! My students cover a wide range of learning abilities. Our students love technology like every other student. Technology is everywhere! However, we lack technology in our classroom. Our students do not have a computer or any hand-held technology in the classroom that they can use. My students would love to have iPads in their little hands. I can just imagine the excitement my students would have with these in their hands. My district does not have the funding for students to have iPads. This program would allow for my students to enter the digital age of learning and allow my students to show their true abilities at their own pace. These tablets would allow students to work in small groups and to individualize their learning.
