I teach in a rural public school in Northern California which serves a diverse population of children. My kindergarten class is filled with 24 energetic, curious, and eager students, ready to begin their academic adventures and experience learning to it's fullest. Many of my students receive free or reduced lunch, and come from backgrounds where exploring their creativity through art has not been a possibility or priority. Often, their only opportunity to experience and engage in different mediums of art is in a classroom setting.
