I am a special education teacher in a small city located in New Jersey.
This will be my eighth year as a special educator and fourteenth year working with the special needs population. I love my job.
Currently, I am a first grade in class resource teacher. I provide support for special education students in a mainstream setting. I have taught in various settings across many grade levels, and I can easily say teaching first grade is by far my favorite!
I work in a district that loves their children but is tragically underfunded. As educators, we must rely on outside resources and the kindness of strangers to make the early years of school memorable and exciting for young minds.
