These materials are needed for my students! Currently, my students are using broken, mismatched desks, that can not be put together for groups.
My class thrives and benefits greatly form collaboration using groups and centers. However, currently my students have problems putting their mismatched and broken desks together in groups. Throughout the day my students have to continuously pick up their books and other items off the floor because the rack at the bottom of the desk is broken. This keeps the students from having an organized area. This frustrates many of them and keeps them off task. Also, as we try to work on projects, their supplies roll off the desktops because the desktops are slanted. The students have to take their supplies to the floor to work in groups. Since, I teach at a Title I, low -income school, my school does not have the budget for new furniture. Any donation is greatly appreciated by not only me but also my students!
