Being able to use hands-on manipulative fraction tiles will help reinforce fraction concepts for students. Having a solid understanding of fractions will help them be successful in high school and college. There are so many real world applications of fractions in real life including simply reducing a recipe or using fractions in their future jobs. Hands-on fraction tiles will combat boring lectures and explanations about learning about fractions. Students will get personal engaging hands-on math practice coming up with their own ideas about when fractions are used in the real world. The benefits of teaching using fraction tiles will continue to multiply in the future.
