My desire is to give my students the best start possible in their academic journeys! Fine Motor Development in the PreK year is critical to success in Kindergarten and beyond. With the development of these skills, a child can complete important tasks such as buttoning, zippering, cutting, pasting, and writing. Without the necessary fine motor skills, students struggle with opening lunch items, using spoons / forks, combing their hair, brushing their teeth, buttoning their clothes, as well as academic skills of cutting, proper pencil grip, turning pages in a book, etc. Fine Motor Skills in PreK gives students a boost in self-confidence as they learn to perform essential everyday skills in self-care and academic tasks. Will you please partner with me in filling our supply closet with various art supplies to provide for engaging experiences to encourage fine motor development in our school’s youngest and most economically disadvantaged learners. Your generous donation will allow me to provide meaningful and fun art activities to strategically strengthen my students’ fine motor skills. 100% of all items will be used directly with my students to strengthen various fine motor skills necessary for success in school! I am excited to see my students strengthen their muscles while playing with the Lakeshore Dough, painting masterpieces with the Mini No-Spill Paint Cups & Brushes set, and practicing their ABCs and 123s with Learn the Alphabet & Learn to Count Dough Mats!
