I work at a Title I school where many students have never been to a real concert or even been exposed to any music other than what is popular on the radio. Some students have even come into class saying that they cannot sing.
Unfortunately, each class only has music for 40 minutes a week, but they love playing instruments and musical games. Moving to music, especially with scarves is another of their favorite activities. By using instruments and other props like scarves the students find themselves learning valuable music and life lessons while having fun. Sometimes they do not even realize they are learning because they are having so much fun! Please help me encourage their musical talents by adding to our toolbox of instruments and props.
