The 2020-2021 school year will be like no other school year we have ever experienced! Students will be be distancing themselves from there peers and will not be able to share electronics or materials.
I would love it if every student was provided with their individual tablets with a keyboard so they can be engaged while learning, as well as maintain social distancing. I would also like to keep each tablet charged and safe by locking up the tablets at the end of each school day with the help of a desk charging box.
Other benefits of the tablet in the classroom is that they’re lightweight and students can use it as a touchscreen or use the keyboard provided. This makes it easier for students with disabilities to use than a computer with a mouse. The tablet also have screen readers and speech-recognition software that will allow my students to engage and participate with their peers. Please help my students by providing them with tablets with a keyboard, as well as a desk charging box that will make sure their tablets are fully charged each morning. This will ensure they receive a equitable education they deserve!!
