Extra, extra, read all about it!!! I am looking to expose my students to current events through the use of Scholastic News. I feel it is important to expose young minds to the happenings in the world around us. Our school is located in a lower socioeconomic area, therefore most of the population consists of struggling working families, so donations are few and far between. With a tight district budget, lack of lottery funds, and limited personal funds, I am relying on Ðǿմ«Ã½.org to help purchase Scholastic News materials for my classroom. My students are very proud of their academic achievement, and crave learning. Our school was recognized as a California Distinguished School a few years ago. Our test scores remain high, because each student strives to be successful. My students come to school happy and ready to learn. They will be so excited to read about current events in Scholastic News.
