With this campaign, I am trying to raise funds to be able to purchase high-interest books for my 4th-6th grade students in order to motivate and inspire them to become lifelong readers. Through monthly drawings, students get to choose books that interest them to add to their at-home libraries!
As a Title 1 Reading Teacher, my students are often struggling readers who are reluctant to seek out and read books of any kind. Unfortunately, this tendency perpetuates the gap in their reading skills, as frequent reading is one of the best ways to improve these skills. By providing quality books, on a variety of topics, I can motivate them to read more and become stronger at the same time!
Any support from my community is deeply appreciated as I work to serve my students.
With sincere appreciation,
Jennifer
