I would like to provide each of my students with a pencil pouch, a few pencils, colored pencils, a glue stick, scissors, and 2 composition notebooks so they can come to school knowing they already have everything they need to be successful. I have already bought scissors, notebooks and some pencils with my own personal funds. I would like to provide the rest of the resources to my students through Donors Choose.
Providing my students with basic necessities will ease the stress they endure of showing up every day unprepared for class. As children it is not their fault that their family cannot afford school supplies. Providing these basic school supplies will allow my students to enter the classroom and immediately get to work.
