Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics are what will give our students the tools to become globally empowered and prepared. Having an art station in my classroom will provide my students the opportunity to explore STEM concepts through different mediums.
This project is something that ALL students can use, despite their academic ability level.
These supplies will not only assist my students in gaining a greater understanding of STEM concepts, but also provide the opportunity for my students to gain a lifelong love for art! My students will have the opportunity to practice their fine motor skills as they learn to dip the paintbrush and remove the excess paint before practicing steady strokes on the easel. Students will learn to communicate with their peers as they share ideas, opinions and tools, while cooperatively working on a task. These materials can be used for all subject areas and at many times throughout the school day.
