Our school has tutoring and after school activities that students partake to empower them and create their own sense of identity. These activities have increased the success of the school the last 4 years. We want to keep the momentum going but we have lost a key element: our snacks.
Our measurement of success hasn't just been about grades, but also reducing the at-risk dropout rate, increasing the student's ambitions and having more parental involvement as a whole. The snacks we provided used to help give those students an incentive to do better or provide an extra energy boost to finish out the rest of the extended time. They also help as an incentive to stay and develop an intrigue into a club or do better in their studies. We need snacks to move forward.
